Repay what u borrowed

Reduce debt using the right token and check what remains afterward.

4 sections Beginner friendly

Find the debt u mean to repay

Open Portfolio for the connected address. The Borrowed assets table lists debt in token units and an estimated dollar value. Use the token amount when filling in the repayment form.

Repayment needs the appropriate token in ur wallet and the network’s gas token: ETH on Ethereum and OP Mainnet, or AVAX on Avalanche. A supplied balance is not automatically a wallet balance available to spend. Check the exact asset and Spoke when the same token appears in more than one position.

Make a repayment

  1. In Manage positions, choose Repay for the asset with debt.
  2. Check that the drawer says Repay, then enter a positive token amount.
  3. Select Preview transaction. Read the before-and-after position and any errors.
  4. Confirm in ur wallet. If a token-spending approval is requested, review it before the repayment request.
  5. Wait for confirmation, open the transaction receipt if needed, and refresh balances.
  6. Check the remaining debt rather than assuming the position is fully cleared.

Why a small balance can remain

The main site currently uses an exact repayment amount. It does not have the local lab’s Repay all checkbox. Interest and rounding can mean the amount owed when the transaction executes differs from an earlier display.

A partial repayment reduces debt but leaves a borrowing position to monitor. If clearing debt is ur goal, inspect the actual result and current amount before deciding on another action.

An approval is not a repayment

If an approval confirms but a later wallet request is rejected or fails, debt may be unchanged. The approval can remain on-chain. Check the transaction status and debt before retrying.

Closing the review drawer does not undo an approval or repayment already confirmed. The local lab lets u practice the full repayment flow and reset its disposable balances.

Borrowed assets

The table of the selected account's debt, shown by token amount and estimated dollar value.

ETH

Ether, Ethereum's native asset. It pays transaction fees on Ethereum.

The Portfolio area with entry points for repaying debt and withdrawing supplied tokens.

Portfolio

The selected account's supplied positions and debt on the markets covered by this explorer.

PositionPositions

Repay all

An option in the local practice lab to repay the full test debt. The main site uses an entered amount.

A market connected to Hub liquidity, with its own rules for user positions. Users supply and borrow through Spokes.

Supplied balance

Tokens already placed into a market. They must be withdrawn before they become available in the wallet again.

TokenTokens

A digital asset recorded on a blockchain. Check the specific asset and network before entering an amount.

Token units

An amount of the token itself, such as 10 USDC or 0.5 WETH, rather than its estimated dollar value.

Token-spending approval

Permission for a contract to spend a particular token up to an allowance. Approval is a separate step from supplying or repaying.

TransactionTransactions

A signed request processed by the blockchain, such as supplying tokens or granting an approval. Review its receipt to check whether it succeeded.

Transaction receipt

The blockchain record of a processed transaction, including whether execution succeeded or failed.

Wallet

An app or device that manages accounts and lets u approve transactions. Connecting a wallet is different from approving a payment or loan.

Wallet balance

Tokens held in the selected account, outside its supplied positions. A wallet balance does not subtract outstanding loans.
