Find ur way around Aave V4

A first look at Markets, Hubs, Spokes, and the four lending actions.

4 sections Beginner friendly

What can I do here?

u can explore V4 markets on Ethereum, Avalanche, and OP Mainnet, look up an address, and manage a connected wallet’s supply and borrowing positions. Use the network selector in the header to choose a chain. Switching returns to that network’s Markets page. u do not need a wallet connection to browse markets. If the data service returns no markets, the page says so.

There are four main actions: Supply puts tokens into a market. Borrow receives tokens and creates debt. Repay reduces that debt. Withdraw returns supplied tokens to ur wallet. Opening a review does not perform the action.

Hubs and Spokes

A Hub holds shared liquidity. A Spoke is the market entry point u use, with its own collateral rules and settings. ur supply or borrowing action goes through a Spoke. A Spoke can connect to more than one Hub.

Why a token appears more than once

A route identifies a token in a particular Spoke and Hub. The same token can appear in several routes with different rates or rules. Check the names in the review drawer before continuing.

On Markets, selecting a Hub updates the connected Spokes. More details opens the Hub’s inventory. In a Spoke, Connected Hub changes the context of the asset list; it does not move ur funds.

Where should I start?

Use Markets to browse everything the explorer has loaded. Use Opportunities to see routes matching tokens held by the selected address. Use Portfolio to inspect that address’s supplied positions and debt.

  1. Browse Markets and open an asset u recognize.
  2. Read an info icon for any unfamiliar number. Ronnie’s guide link opens more detail in a separate tab.
  3. Choose Connect or watch to load an address. Watching is a useful way to explore without signing.
  4. If u want to practice transactions, use the separate local test lab described in Practice with test funds.
